Enrollment for Resident Families

Welcome to Mar Vista!  Enrollment for neighborhood (resident) families for the 2024-25 school year opens in February.  To receive a complete enrollment packet with current information, please come by our office to pick-up an enrollment packet during when school is open from 8:00am to 3:00pm. 

To help us maintain ideal class sizes and avoid overcrowding in the classrooms, please submit your completed enrollment packet with all required forms to the school ASAP.  

Mar Vista implements a residency verification policy which may include home visits by District or school staff to verify the home address.  Falsification of records or forms is cause for immediate withdrawal from our school.   Your child will not be eligible to receive any type of permit to continue at Mar Vista and will be immediately transferred to his or her school of residence.

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ENROLLMENT

  • Birth Certificate
  • Valid Identification of Parent or Guardian
  • Proof of Residence
  • Proof of Immunization Record:
    • DTaP, DTP, Tdap, Td = 5 doses
    • Polio (OPV, IPV) = 4 doses
    • Hepatitis B = 3 doses 
    • MMR = 2 doses
    • Varicella (Chickenpox) - 2 doses or proof of illness
  • Other Documents (if applicable):  
    • IEP or Section 504 Plan
    • Court Orders
    • Medication/Medical Needs
    • Report Cards
